Rahe Bhander Sufism: Answer with direct evidence
Essayist: Muhammad Jifad Bin Liaquat
Secretary for Information & Research, Rahe Vander Sufi Musician Association
All the praises be to the only one deity which magistral entity is the mere creator and cherisher of everything within the universe. As far as possible, I modestly bow down before the mighty guest of Arsh; the sacred conversion of the holy light of the sole originator; the greatest lover ever; the ideograph of forgiveness, compassion and commiseration; distributor of celestial grace for each and every creation both in this life and the hereafter; Nur-e-Mujassam; Habib-e-Kibriya; Shafiul Mujnabin; Khatemun Nabiyyin; Rahmatullil Alamin; Prophet Hujur Ahammad-e-Mujtaba, Muhammad-e-Mustafa (Swt). My obedient and ceded love is presented under the feet of the invigorators of Deen-e-Muhammad, the all time symbol of sacrifice, the leader of Sadekin (Truthful people), the Wali (protecting shield) of the believers, the glorious members of Pak Panjaton, Ahl-e-Rasul (Swt): Hajrath Syedina Mowla Ali (Kr:), Hajrath Syedina Fatima-tuj-Zahra (R:), Hajrath Syedina Mowla Imam Hasan (R:) and Hajrath Syedina Mowla Imam Hussain (R:). With congenial submission and devotedly obeisance, I commemorate Hujur Gowsul Azam Hajrath Sufi Shaikh Muhi-ud-Deen Abdul Kader Gilani (K:); Khatemul Olod, Hujur Gowsul Azam Sufi Hajrath Syedina Ahmad Ullah Shah Mize Bhanderi (K:); Dulha-e-Hajrath, Sahebul Wajudul Quran, Hujur Hajrath Sufi Syedina Salekur Rahman Shah Rahe Bhanderi (K:); Universal Sufi Saint, Azade Mojadded-e-Zaman, Hujur Hajrath Sufi Syedina Mohammad Abdul Malek Shah Rahe Bhanderi (K:).
My humble prostration at my Sufi Master's feet, to me who is: torch to the lost, sight of the blind, hearing of the deaf, sound of the dumb, feeling of the numb, hope of the frustrated, shelter of the stranded, strength of the coward, soul of the dead and mystical artist of love.
Under any circumstances, I do not claim to be a scholar. Neither is I a writer nor have I any knowledge of religion. A wild and illiterate creature like me dares to illustrate something written before the readers only with the merciful grace and sanctifying lessons of my pole star, my Sufi Master, my Babazaan, Sirrur Rahman, Makhjanul Quran, Hujur Hajrath Sufi Syedina Zafor Sadek Shah Rahe Bhanderi (Mza).
Humankind has been thinking about cosmology which is one of the most ancient and clandestine riddle since the descending of Adam. Though the imperishable spirit created the entire mankind, considering the topic of cosmology, mankind has divided themselves into many groups, sects, rituals and creeds. If anybody takes a quick look at the contemporary world, easily (s)he finds out that the main problem among the mankind is religion i.e. the diversity of belief in god. About this matter the Quran says:
“To you be your way, and to be mine.” (109:6)
The same lord sent down different Prophets at different times whenever deviated human beings sank under the stream of sins and needed badly to be guided by the mentors. All the prophets outreached with the same revelation of Mono-theology and admitted the other Prophets. They never differentiated among themselves.
“Say ye: We believe in Allah, and the revelation given to us, and to Abraham, Ismail, Isaac, Jacob and the tribes, and that given to Moses and Jesus, and that given to (all) prophets from their Lord; We make no difference between one and another of them; and we bow to Allah.” [2:136]
But due to idiocy, negligence, arrogance, egotism etc. evil characteristics, people get derailed from the straight path and distort the teachings of the prophets. Maximum people's common foes are the hypocrites (Munafik) who can simply be said as impostors. The most vulnerable rivals of any race, caste, religion or nation are those impostors who are betrayers at the end of the day. They just perform these satanic activities for their sheer interest or profit. The odds regarding the different belief in god or religion are the fruits of the inauspicious acts of the impostors.
Alike this, Islam too is broken apart into many subgroups. Religion is one but so many clans and different views. People outside of Islam are not responsible for that as it is mostly heard. Rather the hypocrites are, because they stay with the Moslems being one of them but they abhor the Moslems from their heart. They have strong connection and deep relation with the anti-Moslems though their every thing is with the Moslems.
Moreover the beginning of this treacherous tendency has been in progress since the prehistorical era. For instance, almost everybody knows the tale of Kaabil, one of the sons of Adam who killed his own sibling. The same venomous flow continued during Noah, Saleh, Hood, Lu't, Moses, Dawood, Jacob, Joseph and Messiah etc. honorable Prophets. Even the last Prophet Muhammad (Swt) suffered the unending and unexplainable experience from the betrayers. As result- Battle of Jamal, Battle of Siffin, Battle of Nahrawan, Battle of Karbala took place between two groups of Moslems. The exemplary instance can be given with the immortal quote of Mowla Sayedina Imam Hussain (R:) in the land of Karbala before the opposition: "Is there not even a single Moslem amongst you all"? Though Imam delivered this speech before those who also claimed themselves as Moslems, who also used to perform formal manners of Islam i.e. Salaat, Sawom, Hajj etc. His Holiness Imam clearly drew a borderline between the believers (Mu'minin) and the betrayers (Munafikun). Betrayers do not belong to any religion whatever it may be. They too apprize themselves as Moslems remaining within the Moslems.
Mowla Imam Joinul Abedin (R:) [Son of Imam Hussain- the Survivor of Karbala], with a group of loyal and devoted followers often identified as Sufis, decided to hide himself and go underground after the agonizing tragedy of Karbala. Since then, Islam started to flow into two isolated stream. One is based on taking possession of political state-power and just formally performing the Islamic mandatory rituals- just to-do type of routine obligations. Most of the time, it can not answer WHAT the obligations are and WHY the obligations to be performed. Largely physical efforts and scriptural laws dominate this type. No special focus on practicing for being luxurious, lustful and sensual. This trend is divided into many sects at the posterior time such as- Shia, Sunni, Wahabi, Kurdi, Khareji and so on.
Apart from this kind, the second one is Sufism i.e. Spirituality; direct connection with the ultimate existence. Love and authentic intention of heart basically comprise of this dogma. Sufism emphasizes on carrying out responsibilities than pampering Epicureanism. Sufism is not against the lawful Shariah though. In fact, it is not against any religion. Besides, this practice discovers the covert mystery behind every obligation (WHAT & WHY) of every religion. It encourages accepting the root essence of every religion. Sufism teaches one to make bond with every creature only with love. There is no distinction among the humans. Regardless of male, female, race, religion or nation; everyone is originated by the same almighty creator. Through loving all the creation, a Sufi perpetrates to meet the creator. This is the soulful journey of experience that never can be found in any book, scripture or somewhere else. Imagine, someone standing before a sea with the purpose of measuring its depth. How is that possible without dipping into the sea? Just like that, if someone wants to experience divine love, (s)he must adopt refuge of a true spiritual preceptor. With the blessings of the preceptor and by controlling one's own nafs, a soul as well as nafs gets purified. Regarding the necessity of a spiritual preceptor, the following Quranic verse is notable:
“O ye who believe! Fear Allah and ask the MEANS to find Him.” (5:35)
Divine journey i.e. about the second one I am trying to write a bit. Sacred Quran and Hadith are encouraging us both implicitly and explicitly to adopt Sufism. Why??? Because: - Sufism is the actual answer of every ‘WHAT’ and 'WHY'. In the books, a Hadith directs us of a journey within ourselves: (Maan aarafa nafsahu fakad aarafa rabbahu- Recognize your own fosterer by recognizing own self) How much indeed does anyone know thyself? Every time we utter 'I' to introduce ourselves. Does 'I' mean the body? Someone else is saying 'I' inside of body rather than the mouth. This Hadith strongly refers to get introduced with that 'I'. Direct introduction with that entity which is the original ‘I’, can drive away all the suspicions, even the distance among people of various religions. We are announced 'dead' while that 'I' is absent inside body. ‘I’ departs but never dies. The first verse of Quran is:
"Alhamdulillahi Rabbil Alamin – “Praise be to Allah, the cherisher of the worlds” (1:1) The term 'Rabbil Alamin' means 'nurturer of the entire creation' not ‘Rabbil Muslimin’ (nurturer of the Moslems)
Tariqah-e-Rahe Bhander is a unique course of Sufism for those, who desperately are seeking for the true meaning of love and life. It is a distinct ocean of knowledge that is fulfilled with every mystical ingredient. This Sufi Tariqah completely accepts every heavenly letter. So Rahe Bhander Doctrine admits equal right of every human, even the atheists; as everyone has the freedom and right to express his/her own view. Anyone can quench his/her thirst of wisdom from this astonishing school of Mono-theology.
Almost all the Moslems believe and say that the Lord is formless. Well, let's go through following few verses from Quran.
“To Allah belong the east and the west; whithersoever ye turn, there is the Face of Allah; .For Allah is All Pervading, All Knowing.” [2: 115]
“But to Allah belong all things in the heavens and the earth; and all things are within the Hands of Allah.” [4: 126]
“So glory to him in whose Hands in the dominion of all things; and to them ye will be all brought back.” [36: 83]
“All that is on earth will perish; but will abide (for ever) the Face of thy Lord,-full of majesty, bounty and honor.” [55: 26-27]
“But only the desire to seek for the Face of their Lord most high.” [92: 20]
The plain meaning in [2:115], the Arabic word 'Wajhullah' means 'Face of Allah'. In the verses: [55: 26-27], [92: 20], (6: 52], [28: 88] and [30: 39], we find the word ‘Wajha’ (Face). In [4: 126] and [36: 83], the word ‘Hand’ is mentioned. How can a formless entity have Face and Hand? Again, ‘1’ is a mathematical number that is used to count. Does anybody ever count any formless thing like this- 1 water, 1 air, and 1 petrol? Obviously not! If Allah is shapeless, how could it be said: Allah is one? “Say, Allah is one.” [112: 1]
“So whom ye have accomplished your holy rites, remember Allah, as ye used to remember your forefathers, - yea, with far more heart and soul.” [2: 200]
Remembering Allah just like that, as we bring our ancestors to our mind. We can easily recall them, those we saw. But how can we remember Allah like that when we never saw him? Let’s consider the matter whether or not we can be ascertained of the true God’s existence through meeting Him. Conventional numerous arguments regarding God are widely found that are only kind of conversation without concrete foundation. About this, Rahe Bhander adopts Quranic solution with extreme evidence.
“Huwal Awwalu Wal Akheru waj Zaheru wal Batenu wahua aala bikulli shayyin Aalima –He is the first and the last, the Apparent and the Immanent; and He has full knowledge of all things.” [57: 3]
“For those whose hopes are in the meeting with Allah; for the term by Allah is surely coming and He hears and knows all things.” [29: 5]
“Those who reject the signs of Allah and the meeting with Him, - it is they who shall despair of My Mercy; it is they who will suffer a most grievous penalty.” [29: 23]
“Do they not reflect in their own minds? Not but for just ends and for a term appointed, did Allah create the heavens and the earth, and all between them; yet are there truly many among men who deny the meeting with their Lord.” [30: 8]
“Lord of the Throne; by His command doth He send the spirit to any of his servants He pleasest, who may warn (people) of the day of meeting.” [40: 15]
“Ah indeed! Are they in doubt concerning the meeting with their Lord? Ah indeed! It is he that doth encompass all things.” [41: 54]
“Assalatu me'rajul Mu'minin - Saalat is the meeting with Allah for the believers. [………Hadith Reference Needed……] Here the Arabic word ‘Mu'minin’ means 'Believers', not 'Muslimin' (Moslems)
In [57: 3], the Arabic word 'Zaher' clearly states that the Lord is Open. 'Zaher' is also one of the 99 qualitative names of the Lord according to Islamic belief. If He exists openly, why do not we see Him? Perhaps we see Him, but do not recognize Him as we are totally unaware about His appearance. Where the almighty Himself is declaring that his face is in every direction [2:115]; how anyone, whoever he is, can refuse the meeting with Him?
These are enough documentary proofs against many conventional misbeliefs. Many people will oppose this dissertation nevertheless. This is absolutely normal, because:
“Yet the greater part of mankind will have no faith, however ardently thou dost desire it” [12:103]
“Evil as an example is people who reject our signs and wrong their own souls.” [7:177] “Behold! How they ascribe a lie against Allah! But that by itself is a manifest sign.” [4:50]
“That is because Allah sent down the truthful revelation but those who seek causes of dispute in the revelation surely are in a schism far due to disobedience.” [2: 176]
Differentiation widely existed, exists and will exist. Quran testifies that schism:
“Mankind was included in the same nationality, and Allah sent Messengers with glad tidings and warnings, and with them He sent the book in truth, to judge between people in matters wherein they differed; but the people of the book, after the clear signs came to them, did not differ among themselves, except through selfish contumacy. Allah by His grace guided the believers to the truth, concerning that wherein they differed. For Allah guided, whom He will to a path that is straight.” (2:213)
Who are sent down with revelations, (s)he made the disintegration driven by their self obstinacy and egotism. Thereupon the most merciful showed them the light, who were believers; not Moslems. Some tarnished hypocrites who preach creeds in exchange of money; they always have been barricading people from the Lord’s waiting to meet His servants. As to continue gaining their religious business and profits, they misinterpret the revelations of different religion. About them the Quran says:
“Then woe to those who write the book with their own hands and then say, “This is from Allah” to traffic with it for miserable price!- Woe to them for their hands do write and for the gain they make thereby.” [2: 79]
“Those who conceal Allah’s revelations in the book and accept for them a miserable profit, - they swallow into themselves naught but fire; Allah will not address them on the day of Resurrection. Nor purify them; grievous will be their penalty.” [2: 174]
“The sings of Allah have they sold for a miserable price, and have they hindered people from His way; evil indeed are the deeds they have done.” [9: 9]
'Eternal' can be only ascribed upon the Creator who utters 'be' and then 'it becomes' – “Verily, when He intends a thing, His command is “Be” and “ It is.” [36: 82]. Many will not want to acknowledge above verses because of fear, superstition and former misbelief – “Truly mankind was created as very coward.” [70: 19] Since general people’s emotion, trust and frankness have been played; broken again and again with deception, it is a bit tough to set trust again. With the verse I urge them: “O ye who believe! Fear Allah and be with those who are true.” [9:119] Truthful people help anyone without any ‘But’ or interest. Be the companion of the Truthful closing your eyes. Otherwise the goal is surely going to be sheer darkness - “But those who were blind in this world, will be blind in the hereafter, the most astray from the path.” [17:72]
My Sufi Master’s quote: “O Believers! There is no fear. Discover the Supremes within thyself.” All the verses or references are just formulas to find the Holy Light. When anyone has the chance to directly experience the ultimate truth by himself, within himself; what is the matter of doubt or delay? The conclusion of this writing is with another quote of my Sufi Master that obviously can yield 100% solution to any dispute: “Rahe Bhander is the need of age, the necessity of time.”
